The 40ft Platform Container with wooden floor – also known as a 40ft Flatbed Container – is the ultimate solution for the transport and storage of heavy, overhanging, or out-of-gauge (OOG) freight. The foundation consists of a heavy-duty CORTEN steel chassis, inlaid with a high-grade, extra-thick wooden heavy-duty floor (40 mm). Wood offers excellent natural friction properties, reducing the movement of heavy crates, installations, and machinery to a minimum. The loading deck is equipped with numerous certified lashing rings and twistlocks along the sides, making the securing and tying down of complex and heavy loads exceptionally safe and fast. Thanks to the standardized ISO corner castings, this platform integrates seamlessly into sea vessels, trains, and low-loader trailers.
